Faurecia

The oven was supplied to Faurecia as part of major investments in a new flocking line for vehicle glove boxes.

The glove boxes are sprayed with adhesive then coated in a ‘flock’ fibre. The adhesive is then dried through the tunnel oven. The use of re-circulating air had to be avoided due to the nature of the flock material so the product is heated gently by means of natural convection from heaters fitted to the bottom of the oven.

The tunnel oven is designed to run continuously and incorporates two separately indexing conveyors and vertical doors at the feed and discharged ends of the conveyor.

The oven is controlled by a plc and includes full temperature logging facilities, other features include maintenance operating mode, energy monitoring and pre-heat facility.
